My name is Will, and I am a professional caricaturist with more than 20 years of experience in drawing and entertaining guests at various live events. I began my drawing journey at a young age, receiving encouragement from family and friends to pursue my creativity. Growing up, I was an avid reader of MAD magazine, admiring the skilled caricature artist who illustrated humorous celebrity stories each month. I honed my drawing abilities by creating caricatures of friends and family, and I was one of those kids who sketched my teacher instead of focusing on lessons. Throughout school, I drew inspiration from my art teachers and talented classmates, exploring cartoons and caricatures while striving to be a well-rounded creative individual. This passion for arts and crafts has fostered my artistic development as a lifelong learner.

In the early 1980s, I began sketching caricatures in bars, restaurants, and craft fairs to supplement my income while working full-time as a graphic designer for a printing and publishing firm. During that time, I freelanced for various companies, producing playful artwork and illustrations aimed at children. I took on the role of a “Ghost Artist,” which meant my work went unsigned, but I received payment and royalties for licensing my creations. My illustrations have been featured on an array of products including stickers, bookmarks, balloons, t-shirts, coloring books, children’s apparel, gift wrap, greeting cards, and more.

For more than 20 years, I’ve been making playful and imaginative art, well before the advent of the internet. In 1990, while sketching live caricatures at a wedding, someone suggested I draw caricatures of a few groomsmen on beer mugs using my black markers. Initially, I thought it was a wild idea, but I tried my best to portray their likeness on the glass. To my astonishment, the mugs were a huge hit at the event, leading to a wave of requests for groomsmen beer mugs as gifts, and as they say, the rest is history!

Currently, I continue to create hand-painted cartoon caricatures on glass items and produce caricatures for weddings and live occasions. Additionally, I provide digital artwork for various needs, including wedding caricatures, gifts for groomsmen, business caricatures, birthday cards featuring caricatures, retirement caricatures, sports-themed caricatures, and graduation caricatures.
